This is a 47 year old woman who wanted her entire mouth region rejuvenated without surgery. The first step of the process was to use a special microneedle to fill in each fine crease across the top of her upper lip, and then augmented the fullness of the upper lip just enough to plump it without giving the appearance that she had anything done. Fine work like this requires a very steady hand and a great deal of experience with lip augmentation, and should not be attempted by inexperienced practitioners. Her lower lip was also augmented to add some natural fullness and smooth out the surface wrinkles making it easier for her to apply lipstick and lip liner. A small amount of filler was also injected into the “parentheses” surrounding her mouth, and then a larger amount of product was used to recontour the jowls that were surrounding her chin and making it falsely appear larger and more masculine than it actually was. The overall procedure performed here was more than just a simple lip augmentation, but this is sometimes necessary to achieve an outstanding result rather than an average one.
